A total of 111 proposals have been submitted in response to the BRICS STI Framework Programme Call 2020: Response to COVID-19 global pandemic. 12 projects have been selected for support as an outcome of the call.

A dedicated call for projects on COVID-19 related thematic areas is expected to be launched on July 1, 2020.

A total of 331 proposals have been submitted in response to the 3rd BRICS STI Framework Programme Call 2019. 35 projects in 13 thematic areas have been selected for support as an outcome of the call.

On 16-20 September 2019 several BRICS STI meetings aimed at fostering BRICS STI cooperation took place in Campinas, Brazil.

Certain BRICS STI FP participating funding organizations invite researchers from their countries to from multilateral collaborations and submit JAF for the 3rd BRICS Call 2019

BRICS STI Framework Programme - 3rd coordinated call for BRICS multilateral projects 2019 is open until 25th April 2019

The 3rd BRICS Call under BRICS STI FP will be launched in early 2019 and should provide even more opportunities for BRICS researchers, inviting to submit projects in 13 thematic areas.

A total of 462 proposals have been submitted in response to the 2nd BRICS STI Framework Programme Call 2017. 32 projects in 6 thematic areas have been selected for support as an outcome of the call.

For two weeks the South African city of Durban became a center for BRICS science cooperation with several events concluded from 24 June to 03 July 2018: 3rd BRICS Young Scientist Forum, 4th BRICS STI Funding Working Group meeting, 8th BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Senior Officials' meeting and 6th Ministerial meeting.

2nd BRICS Call 2017 was open from 1st September 2017 untill 18th January 2018. 462 applications were submitted in response to the Call.
